For those of you who don't know Josh Derksen from dockingbay416 and a good chunk of friendly volunteers (play testers, illustrators etc) have come up with a solid way to play X-wing in a fully co-operative campaign version.
This ticks a number of boxes for those who are after something different from X-wing such as wanting to get your children involved into the hobby in a non-competitive way, avoiding burnout from playing just tournament style 100 point games, or simply using it as a continuation from the rule book missions in the core game.
Of all the reviews I've read about this campaign there simply isn't a bad one amongst them and the product Josh and his team have produced is amazing not only in quality of artwork but the extensive play testing that is obvious is also a draw card making for a fun and flawless system of co-op battles in possibly the best science fiction setting for any game platform.
I'll be posting my battle reports from the campaign for each round giving extensive commentary not only on the campaign system itself but the games and my extra gumby manoeuvres. Hopefully I'll have my first report up over the weekend at some stage.
If you're after another element to your X-wing gaming then this deserves a look in. With it's professional look and quality components it's a fantastic addition to X-wing and really compliments it with co-operative gaming that adds a total different element of fun and the campaign system unlocking some truly fun combinations never seen before.
