For 5 squad points and two crew slots, it essentially allows you to get two uses out of Illicit upgrade cards which include the following upgrades:
- Burnout SLAM
- Inertial Dampeners (Allows the YV-666 to remain stationary for 3 consecutive turns!)
- Rigged Cargo Chute
- EMP Device
- Hot Shot Blaster
In regards to building a squad however, outside of Epic play, there is only one option for the Scum faction that exists. The YV-666 is capable of taking 3 crew upgrades and although it can be heavily customised, it is severely limited in terms of manoeuvrability and undoubtedly having a half tonne slug on board wouldn't do anything to help. At a minimum 34 point investment with the basic Slaver and Jabba aboard it seems like a really expensive sink for something that isn't of massive benefit. Although having a Burnout SLAM to be used twice on the YV-666 would be very fun and get it back into the fight quicker.
The second problem comes from the fact you'll need to build the rest of your squad around this card to ensure you get the maximum value from Illicit upgrades. Of course the problem with this, comes from taking cheap ships (Z-95 Headhunters) that perhaps won't account for much damage and will get destroyed easier, or running another 1-2 ships next to the YV-666 and of course de-valuing the Illicit upgrades because you are not taking the most amount possible.
Do you see Jabba becoming a valued crew member for the Scum faction outside of Epic play? If so, how will you be running the YV-666?
