Gold Squadron Pilot
The entry level pilot for the Y-Wing isn't a bad buy for 18 points. It has solid hit points, a fairly mediocre dial but powerful yet expensive turret options as well.
It makes an excellent carrier for the Twin Laser Turret and further practice with it will then allow you to inflict a lot more damage utilising the BTL-A4 Y-Wing title. Vectored Thrusters could be a good idea here to help keep the enemy inside your primary firing arc.
With only 2 green manoeuvres to choose from, the R2 Astromech increases this to an extra 6, meaning a total of 8 all for a single point upgrade so it's hard to look past it.
Of course the infamous 'Stresshog' does require mention. By placing R3-A2 on the Y-Wing, you can dish out two stress tokens per turn when equipped with the Twin Laser Turret.
Finally, if you're planning on taking Sabine as crew in your squadron, Y-Wings with the Bomb Loadout is the cheapest way to get bombs and mines in a Rebel squad.
