We started with the initial joust and I dropped a bomb right away to block up a lane and forced him to ride through it chipping off a shield or two. My TIE Advances all split up keeping evade tokens on but regardless of the accuracy correctors I couldn't do any damage to save myself. Deathrain eventually collapsed to focus fire within range 1 (ouch) and methodically the rest of my squad was picked off like lambs to the slaughter.
This game highlights for me that something just isn't right in my play style or somewhere between the way I'm applying lists or trying to force them to my play style. I think perhaps I'm more of an attacker and rolling 3+ defence dice just doesn't sit well in my genetic code!
Anyway, well done to my son for another outstanding game but it certainly felt like I was never in this one which is the confusing part for me.
Any comments welcome!
