The Tomb Kings however, despite being considered underwhelming in 8th edition Warhammer went through a massive transformation in Age of Sigmar. They gained a significant boost and I wasn't upset to see them winning games and at one point I think they were going to be banned from a premiere event due to being too 'powerful'. Alas, Games Workshop has intervened, and although they appear to be now listening to their customer base which is what other gaming companies have been doing for the better part of a decade, they are reacting.
It came as no surprise however, that in the upcoming General's Handbook II, that some of their points would be adjusted. Although the competitive biased Undead player in me curses, it is probably for the better of the longevity the game and welcomed.
Obviously this has impacted on the army lists people have been previously using and I am very interested now to see how the niche Tomb King players are reacting, but for now I wanted to take a look at the changes:
Necropolis Knights - +80 points
Whilst an 80 point points increase seems like a massive jump, I still feel like they're an incredible unit and it won't put me off including them in future army lists. Where as previously I would always include 2 units of 6 models. A single unit of 6 use to be 320 points and now it sits at 480 which is nearly 25% of the whole force.
Royal Warsphinx - +100 Points
Settra - +100 Points
NecroSphinx - +40 Points
Screaming Skull Catapult - +40 Points
