Although I've have the model sitting around gathering dust for quite some time, with an upcoming Age of Sigmar event, it seemed a fitting time to get the model painted to represent the mighty empire that once was.
I've used the Decimator for my squadron loadout in Armada recently, so I figured it was time to give my minis a paint job worthy of table time. I also managed to sneak the Firespray in, seeing as that ship has done me proud, too.
A quick coat of gray after an undercoat of black, followed by an ink, really keep the tiny details visible. Next, I just picked out the details and brought them to life using a tiny brush, before spraying them in some varnish.
The Firespray was painted using the exact principles as above; however, it had a few additional colours to tinker with: green for some of the armour plates and red for the skirting around the bottom of the Firespray.
It certainly was a bit of fun to get out the paint brushes again after a long break, and I look forward to seeing these painted squadrons on the table next. Thanks for reading.
