For me this is what gaming is all about, a group of like minded people getting together, throwing dice around, chatting about the game and driving the fun. Apart from all of that mentioned my kids often came out over the course of the evening to check on the action and of course they now have games booked in with me at some stage today but it's a flow on effect from the social gaming which I just love.
Touching on that point again dealing with children I think board games are even more critical to their development simply because they're flooded with electronic devices not only in schools but also social circles they may mix with. Given this opportunity it helps with their mental development away from electronics, it ticks the social box and best of all they're becoming part of a cult classic that is Star Wars.
Onto the games, well I got smashed apart purely and simply. I have a habit of building other people's squads for them and then getting eaten alive and it was simply like this last night however it was certainly fun and the games were fairly close affairs. For nearly the last 6 months I can't remember flying a Rebel list which is a little sad for me so today I'm going to try and get back to basics and develop a 'go to' Rebel list that's enjoyable to fly but also is somewhat effective in the field of play.
What's your favourite Rebels list and why? Would love to hear from you.
