The Contracted Scout upon first released not only changed the game, but also for a period of time dominated it.
For 25 points you can see why. A 9-hit point ship, a barrel roll action on a large base, can shoot outside of arc, and with a tonne of options available including an elite pilot talent. Its easy to see why everything gets compared to it from a cost point of view.
The 'Bumpmaster' works by equipping Intimidation with the intent of blocking you opponent whilst the rest of the squad takes the kill. Anti-Pursuit Lasers, Intelligence Agent and Feedback Array tool it up with all sorts of options to disrupt and damage the opponent.
Being at range 1 is key for the Contract Scout to ensure you're always throwing out 3 attack dice. It isn't too difficult with the barrel roll action and when you're out of range ordnance is amazing.
Plasma Torpedoes or Proton Torpedoes along with Extra Munitions work well, and by equipped K4 Security Droid and Unhinged Astromech you can be sure you'll gain a free target lock in a lot of manoeuvres.
