Ever since the U-Wing made its debut, I've failed to get it to fit into a squad to do it any justice. However, whilst playing around on Squad Benchmark, the more I played with this build, the more I'm inclined to say its results are surprising. A disclaimer before we being however, because I'm currently overseas I haven't physically play tested this squad, but rather, online simulations is the only raw data that I have.
Blue Squadron Pathfinder
The advantage with large based ships as well is and I think this outside of 4 x Jumpmaster 5000's is the only squad of its type. You'll quickly remove any chance of an opponent escaping especially if they find themselves in a large based ship as well. They simply won't have the turning circle required. Secondly, if they do find an escape route, thanks to the Pivot Wing title, you can perform a 180 degree manoeuvre and continue the chase.
I'm not ready to make the commitment and purchase another 3 U-Wings, however I will be playing with this squad some more to see how far I can push with it.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
