Intensity pairs fantastically well with Comm Relay. Allowing Poe to enter the second turn with an evade token stacked up ready for combat and potentially the third turn with both focus and evade tokens. Being that the evade token is effectively an extra hull point per round, the pilot ability, as well as the Autothrusters it is easy to see why this has been such an attractive combination for Poe Dameron. If you've taken any damage simply select one of the 4-green manoeuvres available to gain a shield token back thanks to R2-D2.
Finally, the Black One title adds another defensive layer, allowing for target locks to be dropped from the T-70 X-Wing making it extremely difficult to get any ordnance based attacks off onto it. It can also be used on Dash Rendar however this shuts down Lone Wolf.
Slow play is rewarded here to gain focus tokens on Rey to be used later in the game. In the later rounds you'll be re-rolling blanks thanks to Lone Wolf to put those tokens to good use.
Whilst an Engine Upgrade is normally the superior upgrade for any large based ship, the Smuggling Compartment combined with Rigged Cargo Chute makes a solid argument for this squad. Being that Dash is extremely vulnerable to range 1 attacks, this is somewhat of a deterrent. With careful timing, it is possible to drop cargo token onto an enemy ship gaining them a stress token, and obstructing the attack.
This squad is a great example of upgrade cards over several waves being used to create a stronger version of an old classic. With a 2-point initiative bid and high pilot skills, it's one squad I look forward to putting on the table.
