This squad comes from a brain-storming session during working hours, trying to include dual ARC-170's. I didn't think it was possible to run them how I wanted and had points left over for a third ship, but I've stretched the goal further to add a fourth ship, and the squad so far is very fun flying
Braylen Straam
THane Kyrell
I did experiment a little with the Astromech upgrade slot and tried R2-D6, but couldn't find an Elite Pilot Talent that clicked with him at this stage. I may re-visit that idea once my experience with the squad grows. Until then, it's simply an R2 for some added green manoeuvres.
As compelling as Thane's pilot ability is, it is better to pair him with a second ARC-170, rather than build around his ability. That is why there are no Vectored Thrusters or Engine Upgrade cards in the list.
Airen Cracken
Ashoka Tano
Sabine's Masterpiece is also added, allowing Rey to sit in the crew slot banking up focus tokens to spend these at pivotal moments in the game and help out the ARC's.
Lastly, with Black Market Slicer Tools on board, she's able to feed off of Airen or use an action to have a 50% chance of dealing a facedown damage card bypassing shields from an enemy stressed ship. Hopefully, with Tactician and R3-A2 around, there will be plenty of such opportunities.
I will endeavour to post up a battle report of this squad in late May, but for the time being, I thank you for stopping by. Please subscribe to stay up to date with the blog.
